Frequently Asked Questions

Reaching out for support takes real strength.

We’ve answered some of the most commonly asked questions here to help you trust the process, trust yourself and feel right at home with Apricity.

1. What sets Apricity apart?

Apricity is more than a wellness center - it’s a healing collective rooted in heart, science, and lived experience. Based in Rochester, NY, we offer integrative, whole-person care for those navigating life transitions, especially women 35 and beyond. We meet you where you are, with no judgment & a lot of grace.

2. How do I begin my healing journey with Apricity?

Our Parent Coaching provides personalized guidance to meet your unique needs, equipping you with the right language and tools to support your child. We address a wide range of concerns, from establishing healthy boundaries and managing behaviors to recognizing signs of struggle. Additionally, we offer education on specific challenges, including learning differences and eating disorders, helping you navigate and support your child's well-being with confidence.

3. What types of services do you offer?

We work across four interconnected pillars:

  • Mind - Therapy, trauma healing, and mental health counseling

  • Body - Yoga therapy, somatic work, and massage

  • Nourishment - Nutrition counseling, eating disorder recovery, and chef-prepared support

  • Soul - Reiki, breathwork, meditation, and deeper reconnection

All Care Plans are personalized, collaborative, and rooted in compassion.

4. Do you offer virtual therapy or remote sessions?

Yes. We provide online therapy, coaching, and nutrition support. Whether you’re in Rochester or elsewhere, healing can meet you where you are.

5. Is Apricity just for women?

Not at all. While many of our clients are women navigating midlife shifts, we welcome people of all genders and identities who are ready to heal in a deeper, more holistic way.

6. Do you accept insurance?

We’re out-of-network, which gives us the freedom to prioritize what works best for you, not your insurance company. For therapy or nutrition sessions, we can provide a superbill for possible reimbursement.

7. Who will I work with at Apricity?

Our team includes licensed therapists, a registered dietitian, a yoga therapist, and a chef with deep experience in both inpatient and outpatient care. We’re united by a fierce compassion and a belief that healing is always possible - especially when it’s shared.

8. Do you support families or caregivers, too?

Yes. Whether you're a parent, partner, or loved one walking beside someone in recovery, we offer coaching, education, and compassionate guidance. You're part of the story, and your support matters.

9. Where is Apricity located?

You’ll find us in a historic home at 21 Prince Street in Rochester’s East End - a warm, welcoming space designed to feel like a breath of fresh air. Calm, cozy, and full of light.

10. How long will I need therapy or support?

That’s up to you. Some people come for a season, others stay through deeper transformations. We’ll walk alongside you, check in often, and co-create a path that fits your pace.

11. Can I take a break or stop services?

Of course. This is your healing, your terms. You’re welcome to pause or return whenever you’re ready. There’s no right way - There’s your way.

12. How do I know if Apricity is the right place for me?

This skill building group provides an opportunity to acquire skills that can assist your child in their recovery journey. In this group, you’ll connect with other caregivers and gain insights from evidence-based principles and practices rooted in Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT).
