Evidence-based Mental Health with a Holistic and Spiritual Approach: Experience the Apricity Difference
The practitioners at Apricity Mind + Body are united by a calling to curate a compassionate community that fosters, supports and sustains lasting change.
Our Mission
With over 20 years of experience in the field, we’ve seen what works - and what doesn’t. Traditional, clinical methods often miss the mark, leaving individuals feeling unseen or stuck in a cycle of temporary fixes. Apricity is here to change that.
Our approach is intentionally less clinical and more spiritual, rooted in the belief that healing comes from connection - connection to self, to others, and to a deeper sense of purpose. We focus on creating a supportive, nurturing environment where individuals can explore their unique stories, rebuild self-esteem, rediscover their place in the community, and reclaim their lives.
By blending evidence-based practices with holistic and spiritual modalities, we aim to address not just the symptoms but the core of what keeps people disconnected. Apricity isn’t just a space for healing - it’s a space for transformation, growth, and lasting change.

Our Community
At Apricity Mind + Body Collective, we believe that healing and growth flourish in community settings. Our nurturing environment offers support and guidance from experienced practitioners, but the heart of it all is the community we create together.
‘We don’t have to do all of it alone. We were never meant to.’
When you surround yourself with people who lift you up, encourage you, and walk alongside you, the path to getting better becomes a little lighter and a lot more meaningful. Here, you’re never alone - your community is your greatest strength.

Our Space
Sometimes, the Universe sends you a sign. Other times, it drops a beautifully unique mini-mansion right into your lap.
That’s exactly what happened with our place - a love-at-first-sight moment with the purple place on Prince Street. The energy here is undeniable: nurturing, encouraging, and powerful. We joke that it's the house that hugs you back. Though that's not much of a stretch! The moment we stepped inside, we knew - it wasn’t just a building; it was the manifestation of our wildest vision. Apricity on Prince was meant to be. ☀️
Nestled in Rochester’s Neighborhood of the Arts, our space is a true gem. Built in 1905 as the first administrative building for the University of Rochester, this 3,500-square-foot beauty now serves as our collective’s home. Inside, you’ll find a welcoming community room, a dedicated movement space, and thoughtfully designed suites for the many healing services we offer. The details? Breathtaking. Original wood and marble craftsmanship, cathedral-style stained glass, and a sun-drenched covered porch set the tone for something truly special.
And yes, there’s parking. Private, secure parking. Right here in the heart of the Neighborhood of the Arts, just steps from the Memorial Art Gallery and all the culture that surrounds it.
We’d love to show you around.

Our Name
Apricity (n.) ae-PRIS-i-tee
The warmth of the Sun in the Winter.
Derived from the Latin aprīcitās, meaning “warmed by the sun”, Apricity is an old English word that was teetering on the verge of obscurity.
Until now.
Aside from being one of English’s most melodic words - Go ahead, say it out loud, pausing at each syllable. Ahh-Pris-eh-tee. Doesn’t that feel good? Apricity inspires a connection to an experience that most living things share. Especially those of us from colder weather climates.
That blue sky sunny day in the throes of winter. The day that you build up the courage to unbutton the top button of your winter coat, and stand with your face towards the bright sun. The relief that you feel as you absorb the warmth in its glory. In YOUR glory. There’s comfort in that scene. A comfort that we strive to articulate from the moment you enter our doors.
A relief from the cold, an unmistakable reminder that warm days will return. The confidence that with hard work, a solid plan and a community to support you, your best days are just ahead.
